Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400ºF (204ºC) to ensure it’s hot enough for baking the sweet potatoes evenly and thoroughly.
  2. Prepare Sweet Potatoes: Wash the sweet potatoes thoroughly to remove any dirt. Brush each potato lightly with olive oil, ensuring even coverage. Then, sprinkle them with sea salt according to your taste preference.
  3. Bake Sweet Potatoes: Place the prepared sweet potatoes directly on the oven rack or on a baking sheet. Bake for 40 to 90 minutes, depending on the size of the potatoes. Smaller potatoes, about 3 inches or less in diameter, will take around 40 minutes, whereas very large ones may take up to 90 minutes. You’ll know they are done when the flesh is very soft, the volume has reduced, and the skin can be pulled off easily.
