Delicious and refreshing Strawberry Yogurt Bites, featuring fresh strawberries mixed with creamy vanilla Greek yogurt, sweetened with maple syrup and vanilla extract, then dipped in rich melted chocolate and sprinkled with flaky salt. Perfect as a healthy frozen treat or snack, these bites are easy to prepare and wonderfully satisfying.

Ingredients

Yogurt Mixture

  • 2 cups chopped fresh strawberries
  • 1 cup vanilla Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Chocolate Coating

  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons coconut oil
  • Pinch of flaky salt

Instructions

  1. Mix Ingredients: Chop the fresh strawberries into small pieces. In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped strawberries with the vanilla Greek yogurt, maple syrup, and vanilla extract until well blended.
  2. Portion Yogurt: Line a 9×13-inch baking sheet with parchment paper. Using a spoon, dollop the yogurt mixture onto the parchment, shaping each dollop into a round bite-sized portion as much as possible.
  3. Freeze Yogurt: Place the baking sheet with the yogurt bites in the freezer and let them freeze for about 1 hour or until they are firm enough to handle.
  4. Melt Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and coconut oil. Microwave for about 45 seconds total, stirring every 15 seconds, until the mixture is smooth, glossy, and runny.
  5. Dip Yogurt Bites: Using a fork, lift each frozen yogurt bite and quickly dip it into the melted chocolate, coating it evenly. Lift out immediately to let excess chocolate drip off. While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle a pinch of flaky salt on top. Work one bite at a time as the chocolate sets fast.
  6. Freeze Again: Place the chocolate-coated yogurt bites back on the parchment-lined sheet and freeze for an additional 30 minutes to allow the chocolate to fully harden.
  7. Serve: Enjoy these frozen yogurt bites straight from the freezer or let them thaw for a few minutes to soften slightly before eating. They make a perfect refreshing snack or dessert.

Notes

  • Use fresh strawberries for the best flavor and texture.
  • Vanilla Greek yogurt adds creaminess and a subtle sweetness, but plain yogurt can be substituted if preferred.
  • Melt chocolate carefully in short bursts to avoid burning.
  • Flaky salt enhances the chocolate flavor while balancing sweetness.
  • Keep the bites frozen until ready to serve for ideal texture.
  • These bites can be stored in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 1 week.
