Ingredients
Cookie Dough
1 Cup Sweet Cream Unsalted Butter
3/4 Cup Sugar
2/3 Cup Packed Brown Sugar
2 Eggs (large)
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
2 1/4 Cup All-Purpose Flour
2/3 Cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
1 tsp Baking Soda
1/4 tsp Salt
M&M Candies (orange, green, and purple), quantity as desired
Filling
16 oz White Frosting (typically one container)
5 drops Neon Green Gel Food Coloring
Instructions
Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking the cookies.
Prepare Baking Sheet: Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper or a non-stick silicone baking mat for easy removal and cleanup.
Separate M&Ms: Divide the green, orange, and purple M&M candies into a small bowl to use later.
Mix Dry Ingredients: Sift together the flour, baking soda, salt, and cocoa powder in a mixing bowl to ensure even distribution and remove lumps.
Cream Butter and Sugars: In a separate large mixing bowl, use an electric mixer to cream the unsalted butter, sugar, and brown sugar together until light and fluffy.
Add Eggs and Vanilla: Beat in the eggs one at a time along with the vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
Combine Ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing continuously until a uniform dough forms.
Incorporate M&Ms: Stir about half of the separated M&M candies into the cookie dough for colorful bursts inside the cookies.
Form Dough Balls: Roll the dough into balls approximately 2 inches in diameter.
Press M&Ms on Dough: Press the remaining M&Ms into the surface of each dough ball to decorate.
Bake Cookies: Place dough balls on the prepared baking sheet and bake at 350°F for 9-11 minutes. Remove when edges are set but centers are still slightly soft.
Cool Cookies: Let the cookies cool slightly on the baking sheet before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Prepare Frosting Filling: Scoop the white frosting into a microwave-safe bowl and heat for 15 seconds to soften it for easier injection.
Color the Frosting: Stir in 5 drops of neon green gel food coloring until the frosting turns bright green, resembling slime.
Fill Injector: Using a flavor injector with a needle, draw the green frosting into the injector chamber.
Inject Frosting: Poke the side of each cooled cookie with the injector needle and slowly inject the green frosting until the top cracks slightly, filling the inside with slime.
Repeat Filling: Continue injecting all cookies until each is filled with the neon green frosting slime.
Notes
Use parchment paper or a silicone mat to prevent cookies from sticking and for easy cleanup.
Adjust baking time if using larger or smaller cookie dough balls to avoid under/overbaking.
If you don’t have a flavor injector, carefully cut a small hole in the side of the cookie to fill with frosting using a piping bag or small spoon.
Ensure frosting is softened but not runny for best injection results.
Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days to maintain freshness.
