Ingredients

Cauliflower

  • 1 medium cauliflower (sliced into small florets or 1/2″ thick steaks)

Seasoning & Oil

  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp unsalted butter (melted)
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp salt (or to taste)
  • ¼ tsp ground paprika
  • ¼ tsp ground black pepper (or to taste)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 425˚F (220˚C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to ensure easy cleanup and prevent sticking.
  2. Prepare Cauliflower: Cut the head of cauliflower into 1/2″ thick steaks or break into even, bite-sized florets to ensure they roast evenly.
  3. Toss with Oil and Butter: Place the cauliflower in the center of the baking sheet. Drizzle the olive oil and melted butter over the pieces and toss well to coat every piece evenly.
  4. Add Seasonings: In a small bowl, mix the garlic powder, salt, ground paprika, and black pepper. Sprinkle this seasoning mixture over the cauliflower and toss again to distribute the flavors uniformly.
  5. Roast: Spread the cauliflower in an even layer on the baking sheet. Roast in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the edges are browned and the cauliflower reaches your desired level of crispiness. Stir halfway through for even roasting if preferred.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, you can broil the cauliflower for the last 2-3 minutes—just watch carefully to avoid burning.
  • Adjust seasoning quantities to taste, especially salt and pepper.
  • You can add fresh herbs like parsley or thyme after roasting for added flavor.
  • Serve immediately for best texture, as roasted cauliflower can lose crispiness when stored.
  • Use parchment paper or a silicone baking mat to prevent sticking and make cleanup easier.
