Korean Banana Milk is a light, refreshing, and delicately sweet beverage that combines ripe bananas and milk into a creamy drink. Originating from South Korea, it’s beloved for its natural sweetness and smooth texture, made easy with just a few ingredients and blending.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 ripe banana (the riper, the sweeter!)
  • 1 cup cold milk (dairy or plant-based)
  • 12 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • Pinch of salt (optional, enhances flavor)

Instructions

  1. Choose Your Banana: Select a ripe banana with brown spots. The more ripe it is, the sweeter and more flavorful your drink will be.
  2. Blend the Ingredients: In a blender, combine the ripe banana, cold milk, sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract (if using), and a pinch of salt (if using). Blend on high for 20–30 seconds until completely smooth and creamy.
  3. Chill and Serve: Serve immediately over ice or chill in the fridge for 30 minutes before serving. Garnish with a banana slice or a mint leaf for a fancy touch.

Notes

  • Use fully ripe bananas (yellow with brown spots) for natural sweetness.
  • Avoid underripe bananas as they won’t blend well or taste sweet.
  • Soft and creamy texture is best, making overripe bananas preferable to underripe ones.
