Ingredients

Peach Syrup

  • 2 cups diced peaches (pits removed)
  • 1 cup (200 grams) granulated sugar
  • 1 cup water

Peach Lemonade

  • 1 batch peach syrup (about 1 3/4 cups)
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh lemon juice (79 lemons)
  • 3 cups water or sparkling water/soda water
  • 34 cups ice
  • Fresh peach slices or diced peaches (for garnish)
  • Lemon slices (for garnish)
  • Fresh mint sprigs (for garnish)
  • Edible flowers such as chamomile (optional garnish)
  • Fresh berries (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Make The Peach Syrup: In a medium saucepan, combine 2 cups diced peaches, 1 cup granulated sugar, and 1 cup water. Stir well to combine all ingredients.
  2. Simmer The Mixture: Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring to a simmer. Cook for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the peaches become very tender and the sugar has completely dissolved into the mixture.
  3. Cool The Syrup: Remove the pan from heat and allow the peach syrup to cool for at least 20 minutes. This cooling time helps the peach flavor infuse more deeply into the syrup.
  4. Strain & Store: Pour the peach mixture through a fine mesh sieve, pressing gently to extract as much syrup as possible while leaving behind the peach pulp and skins. Transfer the strained peach syrup into an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 4-5 days or freeze for up to 1 month.
  5. Prepare Peach Lemonade: When ready to serve, combine about 1 3/4 cups peach syrup and 1 1/2 cups fresh lemon juice in a large pitcher. Add 3 cups of water and stir gently to blend the flavors. If using sparkling water, add it just before serving to preserve the bubbles.
  6. Add Ice and Garnishes: Fill the pitcher or individual glasses with 3-4 cups of ice. Add fresh peach slices, lemon slices, mint sprigs, edible flowers, and/or fresh berries for an attractive presentation and enhanced flavor.
  7. Serve: Serve the peach lemonade ice cold. Store any leftover lemonade in the refrigerator for 3-4 days or freeze it for up to 1 month.

Notes

  • Use ripe, fresh peaches for the best flavor in the syrup.
  • For a sparkling twist, substitute still water with sparkling or soda water just before serving.
  • If you prefer a less sweet lemonade, adjust the amount of peach syrup or add more water to taste.
  • The peach syrup can be made ahead of time and stored in the fridge or freezer for convenient use.
  • Garnishes are optional but add a fresh and festive look to the drink.
  • Freezing the lemonade will change its texture slightly, so stir well after thawing before serving.
