This Easy Apple Pie Cocktail is a delightful autumn-inspired drink combining the warmth of Crown Royal apple whisky, the creamy sweetness of Rumchata, and the fresh crispness of apple cider. It’s rimmed with a sweet cinnamon sugar blend for an extra festive touch, perfectly capturing the flavors of a classic apple pie in a cocktail glass.

Ingredients

For the Cocktail

  • 2 ounces Crown Royal apple whisky
  • 2 ounces Rumchata
  • 3 ounces apple cider (or to taste)
  • Ice cubes

For the Rim

  • 2 Tbsp granulated sugar
  • ¼ tsp ground cinnamon or apple pie spice
  • 1 Tbsp honey or caramel syrup

Instructions

  1. Rim Glass: Dip the rim of your glass into a shallow bowl of honey or caramel syrup to moisten it. Then immediately dip the rim into a plate with the cinnamon sugar mixture, turning until it is evenly coated. This step is optional but adds a flavorful and decorative touch to your cocktail.
  2. Add Ice: Fill the glass with ice cubes to chill it. Also add a handful of ice to your cocktail shaker or mixing vessel to help cool the drink during shaking.
  3. Combine Ingredients: Pour 2 ounces of Crown Royal apple whisky, 2 ounces of Rumchata, and 3 ounces of apple cider into the cocktail shaker filled with ice. Adjust the apple cider amount to your taste preference for sweetness and strength.
  4. Shake and Strain: Shake the mixture vigorously for 15-20 seconds until the cocktail is well chilled with a light froth on top. Then strain the cocktail into your prepared, rimmed glass filled with ice.
  5. Garnish (Optional): Add a cinnamon stick, a slice of fresh apple, a light dusting of cinnamon, or star anise to garnish your cocktail. These garnishes enhance the apple pie aroma and presentation.

Notes

  • Use fresh apple cider for the best flavor.
  • Adjust the cinnamon sugar rim according to your sweetness preference.
  • Substitute Rumchata with cream liqueur of choice if desired.
  • Chill your glass beforehand for extra cold drinks.
  • This cocktail is perfect for fall gatherings and holiday parties.
