This Easy 3-Ingredient Mango Mousse is a light and creamy dessert made without eggs, combining fresh mango puree with whipped cream and a touch of sweetness. Perfectly chilled and garnished with mint, it’s an effortless tropical treat that requires minimal ingredients and time, yet delivers a rich and refreshing flavor ideal for any occasion.

Ingredients

Fruit Puree

  • 7 oz Mango (from about 2 medium mangoes)

Mousse Base

  • 1 cup Heavy cream (cold)
  • 4 tablespoons Powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla bean paste (or extract)

Garnish

  • Mint leaves (for decoration)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the mango puree: Peel and cut the mangoes into cubes. Place the mango pieces into a blender or food processor and blend until completely smooth. Set the puree aside for later use.
  2. Whip the cream: In a chilled mixing bowl, combine the cold heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla bean paste or extract. Beat the mixture until stiff peaks form, ensuring the cream is light and fluffy.
  3. Fold in the mango: Gently fold the smooth mango puree into the whipped cream using a spatula. Mix carefully until fully combined and no streaks remain, preserving the airy texture of the mousse.
  4. Pipe and chill: Transfer the mango mousse mixture into a piping bag. If the mousse feels too runny for piping, refrigerate the piping bag for 1 hour to allow it to firm up before piping into serving glasses or bowls.
  5. Set and serve: Place the filled glasses or bowls in the refrigerator and chill for at least 4 hours or preferably overnight. This allows the mousse to set to a perfect creamy consistency.
  6. Decorate and serve: Just before serving, garnish the mousse with fresh mango cubes and mint leaves for a colorful and refreshing presentation.

Notes

  • You can replace vanilla bean paste with vanilla extract if unavailable.
  • Ensure the heavy cream is very cold for best whipping results.
  • For a vegan version, substitute heavy cream with coconut cream and powdered sugar with a sweetener of choice.
  • Chilling the mousse overnight enhances the flavor and texture.
  • Serve chilled for optimal taste and freshness.
