This creamy and indulgent Chocolate Fruit Dip is a quick and easy treat perfect for parties or a simple dessert. Made with whipped cream, cream cheese, cocoa powder, and powdered sugar, this dip pairs wonderfully with fresh fruits like strawberries, bananas, and raspberries for a delicious combination of chocolatey and fruity flavors.

Ingredients

Dip Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (divided)
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Serving Suggestions

  • Fresh strawberries
  • Bananas
  • Raspberries

Instructions

  1. Whip the Cream: In a mixing bowl, use an electric hand mixer to whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Add 2 tablespoons of the powdered sugar and continue whipping until nearly stiff peaks form. Set aside this whipped cream mixture for later.
  2. Prepare Chocolate Base: In a separate mixing bowl, whip together the softened cream cheese, 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons of the powdered sugar, cocoa powder, and vanilla extract until smooth and well combined.
  3. Combine Mixtures: Gently fold the whipped cream mixture into the chocolate cream cheese mixture. Then add the remaining 1/2 cup of powdered sugar and mix until fully incorporated and smooth.
  4. Chill and Serve: Refrigerate the dip until ready to serve to allow flavors to meld and the dip to firm up slightly. Serve chilled alongside fresh strawberries, bananas, or raspberries for dipping.

Notes

  • For best results, use cream cheese at room temperature to avoid lumps.
  • Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less powdered sugar according to taste.
  • Fresh fruits like apple slices or pineapple chunks can also be great for dipping.
  • Keep the dip refrigerated if not served immediately, and consume within 2 days for optimal freshness.
  • Use a hand mixer or stand mixer for easier and fluffier whipped cream.
