Ingredients

Chicken Wings

  • 1 lb chicken wings

Seasonings and Marinade

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp minced garlic
  • 2 tsp dehydrated onion or fresh diced onion
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp seasoning salt OR salt free seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tsp paprika smoked or plain
  • 1 tbsp parsley flakes (optional)

Others

  • Nonstick spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to get it ready for baking the chicken wings evenly.
  2. Prepare Wings: Rinse and pat the chicken wings dry. Place them into a large mixing bowl ensuring they’re clean and ready for seasoning.
  3. Season Wings: Drizzle the olive oil over the wings. Add minced garlic and onion followed by the onion powder, garlic powder, seasoning salt, black pepper, and paprika. Sprinkle parsley flakes if using. Use your hands to thoroughly massage the seasonings into each wing ensuring even coating.
  4. Prepare Baking Dish: Spray a baking dish with nonstick spray to prevent sticking. Arrange the seasoned wings in a single layer to ensure all are flat and not overlapping which helps them cook evenly and crisp up.
  5. Bake Wings: Place the baking dish uncovered in the preheated oven. Bake the wings for about 40 minutes, allowing them to cook through and develop a crispy, golden exterior.
  6. Serve: Once baked, remove the wings from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy as a snack or main dish with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • Use fresh garlic and onion for the best flavor, but dehydrated onion also works well.
  • Ensure the wings are in a single layer to promote even cooking and crispiness.
  • Adjust seasoning salt according to your taste or dietary requirements.
  • You can substitute olive oil with another cooking oil if preferred.
  • For extra crispy wings, broil for the last 2-3 minutes watching carefully to avoid burning.
