Crockpot Angel Chicken is a creamy, slow-cooked dish that’s perfect for busy weeknights. With just a few simple ingredients and minimal prep time, this recipe delivers a delicious meal that tastes like it took hours to make.

Ingredients

Chicken:

  • 1.5 pounds chicken breast, boneless and skinless

Sauce:

  • 3 cloves garlic, chopped or left whole
  • 10.5 ounces cream of chicken soup
  • 3/4 cup chicken stock
  • 4 ounces cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 0.6 ounces Italian dressing mix (e.g., Good Seasons)

To Serve:

  • 1 pound angel hair pasta

Instructions

  1. Spray the crockpot: Coat the inside of the crockpot with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Prepare the chicken: Place the chicken breasts in the crockpot and add the garlic.
  3. Make the sauce: In a separate bowl, soften the butter and cream cheese in the microwave. Whisk until smooth. Add the cream of chicken soup, Italian dressing mix, and chicken stock. Mix well and pour over the chicken.
  4. Cook: Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours. Optional: Shred the chicken 30 minutes before the end of cooking time and continue cooking in the sauce.
  5. Prepare the pasta: Cook the angel hair pasta according to package instructions. Drain.
  6. Serve: Serve the chicken and sauce over the cooked pasta.

Notes

  • Storage: Store leftovers in the fridge for up to three days. This dish does not freeze well.
  • Tips: Be sure to use the dry powdered Italian dressing mix, not the prepared dressing. Do not dilute the cream of chicken soup. Spray the crockpot for easy cleanup or use a slow cooker liner.
