Ingredients

Dry Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour, sifted
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • pinch of salt
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar

Wet Ingredients:

  • 1 ¼ cups whole milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted and cooled

Instructions

  1. Sift Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
  2. Mix Wet Ingredients: Make a well in the center and add in the milk, vanilla extract, egg, and melted butter. Whisk until smooth, being careful not to over mix.
  3. Cook Pancakes: Heat a griddle or large frying pan over medium heat. Add a little butter, oil, or cooking spray. Pour batter onto the hot pan and cook until bubbles appear on the surface. Flip with a spatula and cook until browned on the other side.
  4. Serve: Serve warm with maple syrup. Store any leftovers in an airtight bag in the refrigerator and reheat in the microwave.
