Easily made by whipping softened Brie with honey to a smooth texture, then topped with fig jam, toasted pistachios, and flaky salt for a perfect balance of sweet, savory, and nutty flavors. Ingredients

Cheese Base

  • 2 (8 oz) wheels Brie Cheese
  • 1 tbsp Honey (for whipping)
  • 2 tbsp Honey (for topping)

Toppings

  • 2 tbsp Fig Jam
  • 1 tbsp Toasted Pistachios, roughly chopped
  • 1 pinch Flaky Salt

Instructions

  1. Remove Brie Rind: Using a sharp knife or cheese slicer, carefully remove the rind from your chilled Brie cheese. Chilling the Brie beforehand makes the rind easier to remove cleanly.
  2. Tear and Soften Brie: Tear the Brie into small pieces with your hands and place them in a food processor, electric mixer, or stand mixer bowl. Allow the Brie to come to room temperature to ensure it whips smoothly.
  3. Whip Brie with Honey: Add 1 tablespoon of honey to the softened Brie. Begin whipping on medium speed, scraping down the sides of the bowl every minute to achieve an even, creamy texture. Once nearly smooth, increase speed to high and whip thoroughly until the dip is light and fluffy.
  4. Spread in Serving Bowl: Transfer the whipped Brie to a serving bowl, spreading it out to maximize the surface area for toppings.
  5. Add Toppings: Drizzle the remaining 2 tablespoons of honey over the whipped Brie. Add dollops of fig jam, sprinkle the toasted chopped pistachios, and finish with a pinch of flaky salt to enhance flavor and texture.

Notes

  • Removing the rind is easier when the Brie is very cold and helps achieve a smoother whipped texture.
  • Use a food processor or electric mixer for quickest and creamiest results; a stand mixer with paddle attachment works well too.
  • Feel free to swap pistachios with other nuts like walnuts or pecans depending on your preference.
  • This dip pairs perfectly with crackers, sliced baguette, or fresh fruit.
  • To toast pistachios, lightly fry in a dry pan over medium heat until fragrant, about 2-3 minutes.
