Ingredients

Seafood and Meat

  • 3 lobster tails
  • 1 pound clams, scrubbed
  • 1 pound crab legs, pre-cooked
  • 1 pound smoked sausage (kielbasa or andouille), cut into 1 inch pieces
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined (tails left on)

Vegetables and Other Ingredients

  • 1 pound small Yukon gold potatoes, halved
  • 4 ears corn on the cob, cut into 34 inch pieces
  • 1 onion, peeled and cut into 6 pieces
  • 8 cloves garlic, smashed
  • 3 lemons (2 cut into quarters, 1 sliced into wedges for garnish)

Seasonings and Garnishes

  • 1/2 cup Old Bay seasoning (plus more for garnish)
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. Prepare Lemons: Cut 2 of the lemons into quarters for boiling, and slice the remaining lemon into wedges to be used later as garnish.
  2. Boil Seasoned Water: Fill a large pot with 14-16 cups of water. Add the quartered lemons, Old Bay seasoning, smashed garlic, and onion pieces. Bring the mixture to a rolling boil to infuse the broth with flavor.
  3. Cook Potatoes: Add the halved Yukon gold potatoes to the boiling water and cook for 8 minutes until partially tender.
  4. Add Lobster Tails: Place the lobster tails into the pot and continue boiling for 5 minutes so they cook through but remain tender.
  5. Add Clams, Crab, and Corn: Add the clams, pre-cooked crab legs, and corn segments to the pot and cook together for another 5 minutes to heat through and open the clams.
  6. Cook Shrimp and Sausage: Finally, add the peeled shrimp and sausage pieces. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes until the shrimp turn pink and sausage is heated through.
  7. Drain Seafood Mixture: Drain the pot’s contents, reserving about 1 cup of the flavorful broth for finishing the dish.
  8. Make Butter Broth: Melt the butter and whisk it into the reserved broth, creating a rich sauce to coat the seafood mixture.
  9. Combine and Garnish: Pour the buttered broth over the drained seafood and vegetables. Garnish with chopped parsley, lemon wedges, and sprinkle additional Old Bay seasoning to taste. Serve immediately and enjoy your seafood feast!
