This Sweet Cream Cheese recipe is a quick and easy no-bake treat that transforms full-fat cream cheese into a fluffy, ultra creamy spread with a perfect balance of sweetness and vanilla. Ideal for serving alongside fresh berries, summer fruits, cookies, or cakes, this versatile dessert spread brings a delightful richness to any occasion.

Ingredients

Sweet Cream Cheese

  • 8 oz (225 grams) full-fat cream cheese (Philadelphia recommended)
  • ½ cup (60 grams) powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Sift the sugar: Place a fine-mesh sieve over a large bowl and add the powdered sugar into the sieve. Gently tap the side until all of the sugar dusts into the bowl, ensuring it is completely sifted and free of lumps.
  2. Whip all the ingredients: Add the cream cheese, sifted powdered sugar, milk (if using), vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt into the bowl. Using an electric hand mixer, beat on low speed until the sugar is incorporated. Then increase to high speed and continue beating for at least 1 minute until the mixture becomes fluffy and ultra creamy. Alternatively, use a balloon whisk, but expect it to take longer and require vigorous beating.
  3. Serve: Use a spatula to scrape the sweet cream cheese into a serving bowl. Create a few decorative swirls on top with the back of a dessert spoon. Serve immediately or chilled with fresh berries, summer fruits, cookies, cakes, or any of your favorite desserts. Enjoy!

Notes

  • For best results, use full-fat cream cheese at room temperature.
  • The milk is optional and can be omitted if you prefer a thicker consistency.
  • Sifting the powdered sugar removes lumps to ensure a smooth texture.
  • This sweet cream cheese spread is best served fresh but can be refrigerated up to 2 days covered tightly.
  • Adjust sweetness by adding more or less powdered sugar according to taste.
