Ingredients

Sugar Cookie Syrup

  • 1 cup water
  • 3 to 4 tablespoons dark brown sugar
  • 3 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon butter extract
  • ¼ teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 splash sugar cookie syrup (for cold foam)

Sugar Cookie Cold Foam

  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • 1 splash sugar cookie syrup

Sugar Cookie Latte

  • 2 tablespoons sugar cookie syrup
  • 7 ounces milk (oat, almond, or your choice)
  • 2 shots espresso
  • ice
  • sugar cookie cold foam
  • sprinkles, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Make the Sugar Cookie Syrup: In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of water and 3 to 4 tablespoons of dark brown sugar. Place over medium heat and bring the mixture to a boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat and let it simmer gently for 10 minutes to develop a rich syrup.
  2. Add Flavor Extracts: Remove the syrup from heat and stir in 3 teaspoons vanilla extract, 1 teaspoon butter extract, and ¼ teaspoon almond extract. Allow the syrup to cool completely to room temperature before using.
  3. Prepare Sugar Cookie Cold Foam: In a small container, pour ¼ cup heavy cream and add a splash of the prepared sugar cookie syrup. Using a handheld milk frother, whip the mixture vigorously for 15 to 20 seconds until it becomes frothy and light.
  4. Assemble the Sugar Cookie Latte: In a serving glass, pour 2 tablespoons of the sugar cookie syrup, followed by 7 ounces of your choice of milk and ice as desired. Add 2 shots of freshly brewed espresso.
  5. Top and Serve: Spoon the sugar cookie cold foam on top of the latte and garnish with festive sprinkles. Serve immediately and enjoy the comforting, sweet flavors.

Notes

  • Use dark brown sugar for a deeper, caramel-like flavor in the syrup.
  • You can substitute almond milk or oat milk for dairy milk to suit dietary preferences.
  • Adjust the amount of sugar cookie syrup in the latte to taste for a sweeter or milder flavor.
  • The sugar cookie cold foam should be prepared just before serving for the best texture.
  • Store any leftover sugar cookie syrup in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
