Ingredients

1 cup Cool Whip

1 (3.4 oz) package instant vanilla pudding mix

1 pre-made graham cracker crust

1 cup milk

2 cups sliced fresh strawberries

1/2 cup powdered sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the instant vanilla pudding mix and milk until the mixture is smooth and begins to thicken. Let it sit for about 5 minutes to fully thicken.
  2. Gently fold the Cool Whip into the pudding mixture until it is fully combined and fluffy.
  3. Stir in the powdered sugar and vanilla extract until evenly mixed.
  4. Layer half of the sliced fresh strawberries evenly across the bottom of the graham cracker crust.
  5. Spoon half of the Cool Whip and pudding mixture over the strawberries, spreading it evenly.
  6. Add the remaining strawberries as the next layer.
  7. Spread the remaining Cool Whip mixture over the top layer of strawberries, smoothing it out to the edges.
  8. Chill the pie in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving to allow it to set.

Notes

  • Berry Blend: Try using a mix of berries, such as raspberries, blueberries, and blackberries, for a different fruity twist.
  • Chocolate Drizzle: Add a drizzle of melted chocolate on top for a richer flavor.
  • Lemon Twist: Add a little lemon zest or a few teaspoons of lemon juice to the pudding mixture for a tangy contrast to the sweetness of the strawberries.
  • This recipe is gluten-free as long as you use a gluten-free graham cracker crust.
  • You can use homemade whipped cream or store-bought whipped topping instead of Cool Whip.
  • If you prefer, you can reduce the amount of powdered sugar or use unsweetened whipped topping to control the sweetness.
