Strawberry Bliss Balls are a healthy, no-bake snack made from fresh strawberries, oats, sunflower seeds, and coconut, sweetened naturally with maple syrup and flavored with vanilla essence. These energy-packed balls are perfect for a quick treat, requiring minimal preparation and refrigeration to set.

Ingredients

Bliss Ball Ingredients

  • 200 g strawberries (1 cup, approx. 12 strawberries)
  • 150 g oats (1.5 cups)
  • 140 g sunflower seeds (1 cup)
  • 50 g desiccated coconut (0.5 cups)
  • 1 Tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence

Coating

  • 2 Tbsp desiccated coconut (for coating the strawberry bliss balls)

Instructions

  1. Watch Recipe Video: Start by watching the quick recipe video to familiarize yourself with the process. Note variations in the video such as the use of coconut flour instead of desiccated coconut and the omission of maple syrup and coconut oil.
  2. Step-by-Step Photos: Refer to the step-by-step photos at the top of the blog post if you need additional visual guidance throughout the process.
  3. Prepare Strawberries: Remove the tops from the strawberries and measure 200 g, which is about one rounded cup of sliced strawberries. If not sliced, this may equal 1.5 to 2 cups whole.
  4. Process Ingredients: Combine the strawberries, oats, sunflower seeds, desiccated coconut, maple syrup, and vanilla essence in a food processor. Blend thoroughly until the mixture forms a fine paste consistent enough to roll into dough. This might take some time, so be patient.
  5. Chill Mixture: Refrigerate the mixture for 30 minutes to firm it up and make it easier to handle. If you used frozen berries, you can skip this step.
  6. Scoop Portions: Use a tablespoon (preferably damp to prevent sticking) to scoop out portions of the dough mixture.
  7. Roll Balls: Roll each portion into a smooth ball using your hands. Dampen your hands slightly to prevent the mixture from sticking.
  8. Coat Balls: Roll each ball in desiccated coconut to coat them evenly. Use a small bowl with coconut for this step.
  9. Refrigerate: Place the coated balls in the refrigerator and chill for at least 2 hours or overnight to set before serving.

Notes

  • If using frozen strawberries, you can skip the initial chilling step of the mixture.
  • A damp tablespoon and damp hands help prevent the mixture from sticking during scooping and rolling.
  • The recipe works well without coconut oil, and maple syrup provides natural sweetness.
  • These bliss balls can be stored in the fridge for several days and also freeze well for longer storage.
