Delicious and easy-to-make Spinach Dip Bites featuring a creamy blend of spinach, artichoke hearts, cream cheese, and cheeses baked inside crescent roll dough for perfect bite-sized appetizers.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 7 ounces artichoke hearts, drained and chopped (optional)
  • 10 ounces frozen spinach, thawed, drained well, and chopped or 2 cups fresh spinach, cooked, drained, and chopped
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese, divided
  • 3/4 cup Mozzarella cheese, shredded and divided
  • 1 teaspoon Stone House Seasoning
  • 1 package Crescent Roll Dough Sheet

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375º F (190º C) to prepare for baking the spinach dip bites.
  2. Prepare Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the artichoke hearts, thawed and drained spinach, softened cream cheese, most of the Parmesan cheese, shredded mozzarella cheese, and Stone House Seasoning. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined. Reserve 2 tablespoons of Parmesan and 1/4 cup mozzarella cheese for topping.
  3. Prepare Dough: Roll the crescent roll dough sheet with a rolling pin into an 8×12-inch rectangle to create an even layer of dough, then cut it into 24 equal squares.
  4. Form Cups: Place each dough square into the cups of a mini muffin pan, gently pressing down in the center to form little indentations that will hold the filling.
  5. Fill Dough Cups: Spoon about one teaspoon of the spinach dip mixture into the center of each dough square in the muffin pan, filling each cup evenly. Then sprinkle the remaining reserved mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the top of each filled cup.
  6. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 15 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and the cheese topping has melted and is bubbly.
  7. Cool and Serve: Remove the pan from the oven and allow the bites to cool in the pan for 5 minutes before carefully transferring to a serving plate.

Notes

  • Ensure spinach is thoroughly drained to avoid soggy dough cups.
  • The artichoke hearts are optional but add a nice flavor twist.
  • If using fresh spinach, make sure it is cooked, drained, and chopped before mixing.
  • Use a non-stick or lightly greased mini muffin pan for easier removal.
  • These bites are best served warm but can also be enjoyed at room temperature.
  • Stone House Seasoning can be substituted with any Italian seasoning blend if unavailable.
