These Spinach-Artichoke Dip Wonton Cups are a delightful appetizer featuring a crispy wonton cup filled with a creamy mixture of spinach, artichokes, and cheese. Baked to golden perfection, they’re perfect for parties or a savory snack.

Ingredients

Wonton Cups

  • 12 wonton wrappers
  • Cooking spray

Spinach-Artichoke Dip Filling

  • 1/2 of a 10-oz. package frozen spinach, thawed and very well-strained
  • 1 (8-oz.) can artichoke hearts, drained and finely chopped
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 2 oz. cream cheese, at room temperature
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking the wonton cups.
  2. Prepare Wonton Cups: Arrange the 12 wonton wrappers in a standard 12-cup muffin pan, then lightly spray each with cooking spray. Bake for 5 minutes until just starting to crisp, then remove from the oven and set aside.
  3. Make Filling: In a medium bowl, combine the finely chopped artichoke hearts, well-drained spinach, mayonnaise, sour cream, softened cream cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, and minced garlic. Stir until all ingredients are well mixed.
  4. Fill and Bake: Evenly divide the spinach-artichoke mixture among the pre-baked wonton cups. Place them back into the muffin pan and bake for an additional 10 to 12 minutes, or until the filling is warm and the wonton cups are golden brown and crisp.

Notes

  • Ensure the spinach is well-drained to avoid soggy wonton cups.
  • For extra flavor, consider adding a pinch of salt and pepper to the filling mixture.
  • Serve warm for the best taste and texture.
  • Wonton cups can be made ahead and stored in an airtight container, then filled and baked right before serving.
  • You can substitute low-fat mayonnaise and sour cream for a lighter version.
