Enjoy a delightful indoor treat with these Oven-Baked S’mores Pretzels. Combining the salty crunch of pretzel snaps with gooey melted marshmallows, rich semi-sweet chocolate, and a sprinkle of graham cracker crumbs, these easy-to-make snacks bring the classic campfire flavor right into your kitchen.

Ingredients

Base

  • 100 pretzel snaps (square pretzels), divided

Marshmallows

  • 25 regular-sized marshmallows, cut in half

Chocolate

  • 8 oz. (225 g) semi-sweet melting chocolate (dark chocolate can be used as well)

Topping

  • 3 graham cracker sheets, finely crushed or pulverized

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and place a rack in the center. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat to prevent sticking and ease cleanup.
  2. Arrange Pretzels: Spread 50 pretzel snaps in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, leaving a little space between each for even heating.
  3. Add Marshmallows: Cut each marshmallow in half and place one half, cut side down, on top of each pretzel snap.
  4. Bake Marshmallows: Bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes, or until the marshmallows puff up and just start to turn golden brown. Watch closely as oven times may vary.
  5. Assemble Sandwiches: Remove the baking sheet from the oven and gently press a second pretzel snap onto each marshmallow to form a sandwich. Let them cool for a few minutes to set.
  6. Melt Chocolate: Melt the semi-sweet chocolate according to the package instructions until smooth and fully melted.
  7. Dip Pretzel Sandwiches: Dip each pretzel sandwich halfway into the melted chocolate, ensuring a nice coating on one side.
  8. Add Graham Cracker Crumbs: While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle the crushed graham cracker crumbs over the dipped area of each pretzel for added texture and flavor.
  9. Set the Chocolate: Allow the chocolate to set at room temperature for approximately 30 minutes. To speed up the process, you can refrigerate the pretzels for about 10 minutes until firm.

Notes

  • Use square pretzel snaps for the perfect size and shape to sandwich the marshmallows.
  • Keep a close watch on marshmallows while baking to prevent burning.
  • Melt chocolate gently to avoid scorching, using a double boiler or microwave in short bursts.
  • Store completed s’mores pretzels in an airtight container to keep them fresh.
  • For a festive touch, try adding colored sprinkles along with the graham cracker crumbs.
