This simple beef stroganoff recipe is a creamy and comforting dish made with ground beef, served over tender egg noodles, and topped with a dollop of sour cream. It’s a quick and easy meal that is perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Egg Noodles:

  • 1 (8 ounce) package egg noodles

Ground Beef Mixture:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 (10.5 ounce) can fat-free condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder, or to taste
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • Salt and ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Sauté Ground Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, sauté the ground beef until browned and crumbly, about 5 to 10 minutes.
  2. Cook Egg Noodles: In a large pot of lightly salted water, boil the egg noodles until tender yet firm, about 7 to 9 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  3. Prepare Beef Mixture: Drain any excess fat from the cooked beef. Stir in the condensed soup and garlic powder. Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Combine and Serve: Remove the beef from heat. Add the cooked egg noodles and stir to combine. Mix in the sour cream and season with salt and pepper. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

  • You can add milk or beef broth for a thinner sauce if desired.
