This Simple and Delicious Homemade Spaghetti is the epitome of comfort food, with tender noodles in a rich, herb-infused tomato sauce featuring browned ground beef, garlic, and Italian herbs.

Ingredients

1 pound ground beef

½ tsp salt

¼ tsp pepper

1 can (14.75 ounces) beef broth

1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce with garlic, oregano, and basil

1 can (6 ounces) tomato paste with Italian herbs

3 cloves garlic, minced

2 tsp granulated sugar

1 tsp Italian seasoning

1 box (16 ounces) thin spaghetti noodles

Instructions

  1. Brown the Beef: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef with salt and pepper until it’s well-browned and no longer pink. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Add Sauce Ingredients: Add beef broth, tomato sauce, tomato paste, minced garlic, granulated sugar, and Italian seasoning. Stir to combine.
  3. Simmer: Bring the mixture to a boil, reduce the heat, and simmer for 45 minutes until the sauce thickens and deepens in color.
  4. Cook Spaghetti: Cook spaghetti noodles according to package instructions about 10-15 minutes before the sauce is done. Drain the noodles without rinsing.
  5. Combine and Serve: Add the drained noodles to the sauce and toss to coat evenly. Serve hot.
