These Ranch Chicken Tenders are a flavorful, crispy, and easy-to-make dish perfect for a quick weeknight dinner or a crowd-pleasing appetizer. Coated in ranch seasoning and baked to juicy perfection, they offer a delicious twist on classic chicken tenders without the need for frying.

Ingredients

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

1 pound skinless, boneless chicken breast

1 (1 ounce) package dry ranch salad dressing mix (such as Hidden Valley Ranch)

1 large egg

1 tablespoon milk

½ cup plain bread crumbs

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Place butter in a 9×13-inch baking dish and let it melt in the preheating oven.
  2. Slice the chicken breast against the grain into thin strips.
  3. Place the ranch dressing mix in a small bowl. In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg and milk. Place the bread crumbs in a third bowl.
  4. Dredge each chicken strip first in the ranch dressing mix, then coat in the egg mixture, and finally cover with bread crumbs. Arrange the coated chicken strips in the prepared baking dish.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes. Carefully turn the chicken pieces over and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until an instant-read thermometer inserted into the center reads 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).
  6. Allow the chicken tenders to rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For extra crunch, substitute plain bread crumbs with panko breadcrumbs.
  • Add a pinch of garlic powder or paprika to the ranch mix for more depth of flavor.
  • Use bone-in chicken tenders for a juicier result, adjusting baking time accordingly.
  • Try dipping the cooked tenders in sauces like honey mustard, BBQ sauce, or spicy ranch dip.
  • For gluten-free option, use gluten-free bread crumbs or crushed cornflakes.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in oven to keep crispy.
