Ingredients

Vegetables

  • 2 Large Onions – thinly sliced
  • 1 tsp Grated Ginger (fresh or powder)
  • 1 tsp Grated Garlic (fresh or powder)
  • 4 Medium Red Bell Peppers – thinly sliced
  • 2 Small Green Bell Peppers – thinly sliced
  • 2 Large Carrots – thinly sliced
  • 3 Cups Sliced Cabbage
  • 2 Cups Sliced Mushrooms
  • 4 Stalks Green Onions – thinly sliced

Potstickers & Sauces

  • 30 Frozen Potstickers (large bag)
  • 1 Packet Sweet-Hot Sauce (from potsticker packet)
  • 3 tsp Hot Chili Sauce (adjust to taste)

Additional Ingredients

  • 4 Tbsp Cashews
  • 3 tsp Sesame Seeds
  • 4 Tbsp Sesame Oil (or any light oil)

Instructions

  1. Heat Oil in Pan: Add 4 tablespoons of sesame oil into a large pan and warm it up over medium heat.
  2. Arrange Frozen Potstickers: Place the frozen potstickers in the pan next to each other, leaving some space between each to cook evenly.
  3. Cook Potstickers Covered: Heat the potstickers for 2 minutes, then add a small amount of water to the pan and cover it with a lid. Let the potstickers steam and cook for 8-10 minutes until soft.
  4. Saute Potstickers with Sauce: Once cooked, add 2 teaspoons of the dipping sweet-hot sauce to the potstickers in the pan and sauté for 2 minutes to glaze them.
  5. Transfer Potstickers: Turn off the heat and transfer the sautéed potstickers onto a tray; they can be served immediately as an appetizer if desired.
  6. Prepare Vegetable Stir-fry: In the same pan, add additional sesame oil if needed, then add thinly sliced onions, grated ginger, and grated garlic. Stir fry for 1 minute over medium-high heat until fragrant.
  7. Add Remaining Vegetables and Nuts: Add red and green bell peppers, carrots, cabbage, mushrooms, cashews, and sesame seeds to the pan. Stir-fry everything vigorously for about 1 minute on high heat to keep the veggies crisp.
  8. Combine Potstickers and Veggies: Return the cooked potstickers to the pan along with the rest of the dipping sauce and hot chili sauce. Toss everything together and stir-fry for an additional minute to combine flavors.
  9. Final Touches and Serve: Turn off the heat. Transfer the stir fry to a serving bowl, then sprinkle freshly chopped green onions and extra sesame seeds on top. Serve hot for best flavor.

Notes

  • You can adjust the amount of hot chili sauce according to your heat preference.
  • For a nuttier flavor, lightly toast the cashews before adding them to the stir fry.
  • Use any light oil such as vegetable or canola oil instead of sesame oil if preferred, although sesame oil adds authentic flavor.
  • If fresh ginger or garlic is unavailable, powdered versions work well as substitutes.
  • This dish is best served immediately to enjoy the crisp vegetables and tender potstickers.
