Peanut Butter Blossom Bars combine the classic peanut butter blossom cookie flavors into easy-to-make bars featuring a rich peanut butter base topped with Hershey’s Kisses, perfect for gatherings and treats.

Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

½ teaspoon salt

½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened

¾ cup creamy peanut butter

½ cup granulated sugar

½ cup packed brown sugar

2 large eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

2 tablespoons granulated sugar (for sprinkling)

20 Hershey’s Kisses (unwrapped)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease or line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, beat softened butter and peanut butter until smooth and creamy.
  4. Add granulated sugar and brown sugar; beat about 5 minutes until light and fluffy.
  5. Beat in eggs one at a time, then vanilla extract.
  6. Gradually mix in dry ingredients just until combined; avoid overmixing.
  7. Spread dough evenly into prepared baking dish, pressing into all corners.
  8. Sprinkle the top with 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar.
  9. Bake for 20 minutes; remove from oven and quickly press Hershey’s Kisses evenly spaced on top.
  10. Return to oven and bake 2–4 more minutes to slightly melt chocolate.
  11. Cool completely in pan before slicing into bars, wiping knife between cuts if needed.

Notes

  • For crunch, use chunky peanut butter instead of creamy.
  • Try topping variations like mini peanut butter cups, chocolate stars, or candy melts.
  • Add a teaspoon of cinnamon or almond extract for a flavor twist.
  • Store bars at room temperature for 3–4 days, refrigerate up to a week, or freeze for up to 2 months.
  • Freeze unbaked dough in pan for up to 2 months; thaw overnight before baking.
