Pan Fried Cinnamon Bananas are a quick and delightful treat, transforming simple ingredients like bananas, cinnamon, honey, and butter into a heavenly dessert or snack. The caramelized bananas have a golden-brown exterior and soft, sweet interior.

Ingredients

2 Bananas sliced into 1/2-inch pieces

1/2 teaspoon of Cinnamon

1 Tablespoon of Butter

2 Tablespoons of Honey (preferably raw)

Instructions

  1. In a medium frying pan, combine the cinnamon, butter, and honey. Place the pan over a medium-high heat setting and stir until the butter has completely melted and the ingredients are fully integrated.
  2. Introduce the banana slices to the pan, ensuring they are laid out in a single layer. Allow the bananas to cook undisturbed for approximately 4 minutes, or until the underside turns golden brown.
  3. Using a spatula, carefully flip each banana slice to cook the opposite side for an additional 4 minutes, until golden brown.
  4. Once cooking is complete, remove the bananas from the pan and serve immediately, topping ice cream, yogurt, pancakes, or French toast if desired.

Notes

  • For a crunchy contrast, top the bananas with crushed nuts like walnuts, pecans, or almonds.
  • Experiment with spices like nutmeg or ginger for a unique twist.
  • For a vegan version, use plant-based butter and maple syrup instead of honey.
  • Pan Fried Cinnamon Bananas can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 days and reheated in a frying pan or microwave.
