This Ninja Creami Strawberry Frozen Yogurt recipe offers a luscious, creamy treat made from fresh strawberries, sugar, and full-fat plain Greek yogurt. The process involves macerating the strawberries to enhance their natural sweetness, freezing the mixture, and then using the Ninja Creami to create a smooth, refreshing frozen yogurt dessert perfect for a healthy indulgence.

Ingredients

Strawberries

  • 8 ounces strawberries, washed and stems removed

Sweetener

  • 1/4 cup sugar

Dairy

  • 1 cup full-fat plain Greek yogurt

Instructions

  1. Prepare Strawberries: Wash and remove the stems from the strawberries. Slice them thinly or dice into small pieces, then place them in the Ninja Creami container.
  2. Macerate Strawberries: Add the sugar to the container and stir to combine with the strawberries. Let the mixture sit for 20-30 minutes to macerate, allowing the strawberries to release their juices and create a syrup-like consistency.
  3. Combine Yogurt: Mash the macerated strawberries to evenly distribute the syrup. Then add the full-fat plain Greek yogurt into the container and stir gently to combine, leveling out the top for even freezing.
  4. Freeze: Place the container in the freezer for at least 24 hours to ensure the mixture is fully frozen before processing.
  5. Process in Ninja Creami: Remove the frozen container from the freezer and process it using the Lite Ice Cream setting if using the regular Ninja Creami, or the Frozen Yogurt setting if using the Creami Deluxe model.
  6. Adjust Texture: If the frozen yogurt is crumbly after the first spin, add a splash of milk to the container and respin the mixture. You may need to respin one to two times until a creamy, smooth texture is achieved. Once creamy, scoop and enjoy your homemade strawberry frozen yogurt.

Notes

  • For best results, ensure the mixture is fully frozen for a minimum of 24 hours before processing in the Ninja Creami.
  • If you don’t have full-fat Greek yogurt, plain yogurt with a higher fat content works best to achieve a creamy consistency.
  • The sugar in this recipe can be adjusted to taste or substituted with a sugar alternative for a lower-sugar option.
  • Adding a splash of milk before respinning helps in smoothing out crumbly textures and makes the frozen yogurt creamier.
  • This recipe makes two servings, so double the ingredients if preparing for a larger group.
