Ingredients

For the Mozzarella Sticks:

  • 12 mozzarella cheese sticks
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons hot sauce
  • 2 cups Italian-style breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • Vegetable oil, for frying

For the Nashville Hot Sauce:

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon chili powder
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder

For Serving:

  • Pickles (optional, for serving)

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Prepare the Breading StationSet up three shallow dishes for your breading station. In the first dish, place the all-purpose flour. In the second dish, whisk together the eggs and hot sauce until well combined. In the third dish, mix the Italian-style breadcrumbs with 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
