A quick and easy Korean Ground Beef recipe that is made with a pack of ground beef and a savory sauce, perfect for lettuce wraps, rice bowls, and more.

Ingredients

For the Korean Ground Beef:

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 5 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger
  • 2 teaspoons toasted sesame oil
  • ½ cup reduced-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup oyster sauce
  • 1/4 cup gochujang
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 green onions, chopped (divided)

For serving:

  • 4 cups hot cooked rice
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
  • Sliced cucumbers (optional)
  • Kimchi (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the beef and cook, breaking it up into pieces with a spatula until browned, 5 to 7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  2. Stir in garlic, ginger, and sesame oil, and cook until fragrant, about 2 minutes. Add the soy sauce, oyster sauce, gochujang, and honey, stirring to combine.
  3. Continue to cook until the beef begins to absorb the sauce, about 7 minutes. Add half of the chopped green onions and stir.
  4. Serve over rice garnished with the remaining green onions, sesame seeds, cucumbers, and kimchi.
