Kool Aid Grapes are a fun and refreshing frozen treat made by coating green grapes with Kool-Aid mix and freezing them. These colorful, bite-sized snacks are perfect for hot days, parties, or a flavorful healthy snack alternative that kids and adults will love.

Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 6 oz Kool-Aid mix (any flavor)
  • 3 lbs Green grapes

Instructions

  1. Freeze the grapes: Place the grapes in the freezer and freeze for about 1 hour. This initial freezing helps make handling easier and prevents the grapes from being mushy when you coat them.
  2. Remove stems: Once frozen, twist off the stems from the grapes while they’re still frozen. This step ensures the grapes stay whole and makes them easier to eat.
  3. Rinse the grapes: Place the stemless grapes in a colander and gently rinse with cool water to clean off any residue from freezing and to prepare them for coating.
  4. Divide grapes by flavor: Separate the grapes into different ziplock bags according to the different Kool-Aid flavors you want to use. This is optional but allows for a variety of flavors.
  5. Add Kool-Aid mix and coat: Add the appropriate amount of Kool-Aid mix to each bag with grapes. Seal each bag tightly and shake vigorously to coat the grapes evenly with the flavored powder.
  6. Freeze again: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread out the coated grapes in a single layer. Place the baking sheet in the freezer and freeze for 24 hours to allow the flavor to set and the grapes to freeze solid.
  7. Enjoy: After 24 hours, the Kool Aid grapes are frozen and infused with flavor, ready to be served as a cool, sweet snack.
