Classic Chicken Alfredo Pasta is a creamy and comforting dish made with seasoned chicken, rich Alfredo sauce, and fettuccine pasta. It’s a timeless meal that’s easy to make and perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

Salt and pepper to taste

1 tablespoon olive oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (optional)

8 oz fettuccine pasta

Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the fettuccine pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F. Remove from the skillet, let rest for a few minutes, then slice thinly.
  4. In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium. Add minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and bring it to a simmer. Let it cook for about 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Stir in the Parmesan cheese and butter. Continue stirring until the cheese is melted and the sauce becomes smooth and creamy.
  6. Add the cooked pasta to the sauce, tossing it to coat. Add the sliced chicken on top and stir everything together. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

  • You can substitute chicken breasts with chicken thighs for a juicier alternative.
  • For a lighter version, use half-and-half or skim milk instead of heavy cream.
  • If you prefer a spicy version, add red pepper flakes to the Alfredo sauce.
  • This dish can be made ahead of time by cooking the pasta and chicken separately and reheating when ready to serve.
