A vibrant and refreshing homemade raspberry peach lemonade that balances the sweet flavors of fresh peaches and raspberries with tart lemon juice, perfect for warm days and gatherings.

Ingredients

4 fresh peaches, pitted and diced

1 cup fresh raspberries

1¼ cups water

½ cup granulated sugar

7 cups cold water

1¼ cups fresh lemon juice (approximately 4 lemons)

Ice cubes

Optional garnishes: additional raspberries, peach slices, mint sprigs

Instructions

  1. In a blender or food processor, combine the diced peaches, raspberries, and 1¼ cups water. Blend until smooth.
  2. Place a fine mesh sieve over a large mixing bowl and pour the fruit puree into the sieve. Use the back of a spoon to press the mixture, extracting the juice and leaving behind the solids. Discard the solids.
  3. In a small saucepan, combine the granulated sugar and ½ cup water. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar has dissolved and the mixture has thickened slightly, about 3 minutes. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
  4. In a large pitcher, combine the 7 cups cold water, fresh lemon juice, and ice cubes. Stir to mix.
  5. Add the cooled simple syrup and the raspberry-peach juice to the pitcher. Stir well to combine.
  6. Refrigerate the lemonade until well chilled.
  7. Serve the lemonade over ice, garnished with additional raspberries, peach slices, and mint sprigs if desired.

Notes

  • To make it vegan, use vegan-friendly sugar or plant-based sweeteners like agave or maple syrup.
  • Frozen peaches and raspberries can be used; thaw before blending.
  • Straining removes seeds and skins for a smoother texture but can be skipped for more pulp.
  • Adjust sweetness by adding more sugar or sweetener to taste.
  • Can be prepared up to 24 hours ahead and stored in the refrigerator.
  • Use ice cubes made from lemonade to prevent dilution.
  • Alternatives like honey, agave nectar, or stevia can replace sugar; adjust quantity accordingly.
  • This recipe is naturally gluten-free.
  • If no blender is available, mash fruits thoroughly and strain to extract juice.
