This homemade pumpkin coffee creamer is a rich, creamy, and flavorful addition to your morning brew, blending the warm spices of pumpkin pie with the smoothness of heavy cream or milk. Easy to make in just 15 minutes, it adds a cozy autumn touch to any cup of coffee.

Ingredients

Cream Base

  • 1 and 1/2 cups (360ml) heavy cream, half-and-half, or whole milk

Flavorings

  • 2 heaping Tablespoons (about 35g) pumpkin puree
  • 2 Tablespoons (30ml) pure maple syrup (or more, if you prefer sweeter creamer)
  • 1 and 1/2 teaspoons store-bought or homemade pumpkin pie spice
  • 2 cinnamon sticks

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: In a small saucepan over medium heat, whisk together the heavy cream, pumpkin puree, maple syrup, and pumpkin pie spice until evenly mixed.
  2. Add Cinnamon and Heat: Add the cinnamon sticks, increase the heat to medium-high, and bring the mixture to a gentle boil while whisking occasionally. Boil for 1 minute to infuse the flavors.
  3. Cool and Strain: Remove the saucepan from heat and allow the creamer to cool in the pan for 5 minutes. If the creamer looks separated, pour it through a fine-mesh sieve to ensure a smooth texture.
  4. Use Immediately or Store: Use the creamer in your coffee right away. Remember it has a mild sweetness so you may add sugar to taste. Optionally, garnish your coffee with whipped cream and a dusting of cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice.
  5. Store Leftovers: Transfer any leftover creamer (removing the cinnamon sticks) into a tightly sealed jar and refrigerate. Shake well before each use. It keeps fresh for up to 1 week.

Notes

  • You can substitute heavy cream with half-and-half or whole milk depending on your desired richness.
  • Adjust the sweetness by adding more pure maple syrup if you prefer a sweeter creamer.
  • Use store-bought or homemade pumpkin pie spice depending on availability.
  • Straining helps remove any fibrous bits or clumping from the pumpkin puree.
  • Shake the creamer well before each use as natural separation may occur during storage.
