Perfect for weeknight dinners or special occasions, this 30-minute recipe delivers restaurant-quality taste at home.
1½ lbs steak bites (sirloin or ribeye, cut into 1-inch cubes)
3 tbsp butter
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 (20 oz) package refrigerated or frozen cheese tortellini
2 tbsp butter (for Alfredo sauce)
2 cups heavy cream
1½ cups grated Parmesan cheese (preferably freshly grated)
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Cook the Tortellini
Bring salted water to a boil and cook tortellini according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
Sear the Steak Bites
In a skillet over medium-high heat, melt 3 tbsp butter. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant. Add steak bites in a single layer and sear 2–3 minutes per side. Season with salt and pepper. Remove and set aside.
Make the Alfredo Sauce
Reduce heat to medium. In the same pan, melt 2 tbsp butter, add cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Gradually whisk in Parmesan until smooth and slightly thickened. Season to taste.
Combine
Add cooked tortellini to the sauce and stir to coat.
Assemble
Plate creamy tortellini, top with steak bites, and drizzle with reserved garlic butter. Garnish as desired.
For extra richness, use freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
To spice it up, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the Alfredo sauce.
Optional garnish: chopped parsley, extra Parmesan, or a drizzle of truffle oil.
Avoid overcrowding the pan when searing steak for best browning.
