This refreshing and healthy recipe features ripe strawberries coated in creamy Greek yogurt and frozen to create a delicious frozen treat. Perfect for a light dessert or snack, these frozen yogurt-covered strawberries are simple to make and naturally sweetened, combining the tartness of strawberries with the smooth texture of yogurt.

Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 12 small to medium strawberries
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt (plain or vanilla, approximately 230 g)

Instructions

  1. Prep: Wash the strawberries thoroughly and gently pat them dry with a clean towel to remove all moisture. Line a baking sheet or a flat plate with parchment paper to prevent sticking during freezing.
  2. Coat: Hold each strawberry by the green leaves and dip it into the Greek yogurt, turning it several times to ensure an even coating of yogurt all around. Place each coated strawberry onto the prepared parchment paper. Once all strawberries are coated, place the baking sheet or plate in the freezer and freeze until the yogurt is firm and solid, about 2 hours.
  3. Optional Second Coat: For a thicker and more uniform layer of yogurt, repeat the dipping process by coating each frozen strawberry again in Greek yogurt and then returning them to the freezer until solid.

Notes

  • Ensure strawberries are completely dry before dipping to help the yogurt adhere better.
  • You can use either plain or vanilla Greek yogurt depending on your flavor preference.
  • The optional second coat adds extra creaminess but is not necessary if you prefer a lighter coating.
  • Store the frozen yogurt-covered strawberries in an airtight container to avoid freezer burn and enjoy them within 3 days for best taste and texture.
