Ingredients

1 box brownie mix (or homemade brownie batter)

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1 tsp vanilla extract

2 cups powdered sugar

4 oz semi-sweet chocolate, melted and cooled

¼ cup unsalted butter, cubed

8 oz whipped topping (e.g., Cool Whip)

8 oz whipped topping (for topping)

Chocolate shavings or mini chocolate chips for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare the brownie mix according to package directions.
  2. Pour batter into a greased 9×13-inch pan and bake as directed. Allow to cool completely.
  3. In a mixing bowl, beat softened cream cheese and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Gradually add powdered sugar, mixing well after each addition.
