This Easy White Chocolate Mousse is a quick and decadent dessert that combines smooth melted white chocolate, fluffy whipped cream, and creamy cream cheese for a light yet rich treat. Perfect for a sweet indulgence that can be whipped up in just 15 minutes and served immediately or chilled to achieve a firmer texture.

Ingredients

Whipped Cream

  • 1/2 cup whipping cream

White Chocolate Mixture

  • 1/2 cup chopped white chocolate (or white chocolate chips)
  • 4 ounces cream cheese
  • 13 tablespoons powdered sugar (divided)
  • 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Whip the Cream: In a medium mixing bowl, beat the whipping cream at high speed using a mixer until stiff peaks form. Set the whipped cream aside for later folding.
  2. Melt the White Chocolate: Gently melt the white chocolate in a small pot over low heat on the stovetop, stirring constantly to avoid burning. Alternatively, melt it in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second increments at half power, stirring frequently until smooth.
  3. Beat Cream Cheese and Sugar: Using the same beaters you used for the cream, beat the cream cheese with 1 tablespoon of powdered sugar on medium speed until the mixture is light, fluffy, and well combined.
  4. Combine Chocolate Mixture: Add the melted white chocolate, vanilla extract, and pinch of salt into the cream cheese mixture. Beat on medium speed until smooth and fully incorporated.
  5. Fold in Whipped Cream: Gently fold the whipped cream into the white chocolate mixture using a spatula. If the mixture resists combining, use the mixer on the lowest setting just until blended. Be careful not to overbeat to maintain the airy texture.
  6. Adjust Sweetness: Taste the mousse and add more powdered sugar—1 to 2 tablespoons—folding it in gently to reach your preferred level of sweetness.
  7. Serve or Chill: Spoon or pipe the mousse into serving dishes. Serve immediately for a soft texture, or refrigerate for 1 to 2 hours to allow it to firm up. Garnish with fresh berries just before serving for added flavor and presentation.
  8. Storage: Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days to maintain freshness.
