This Easy Buffalo Chicken Dip is a creamy, spicy appetizer perfect for parties and game day. Made with shredded chicken, cream cheese, buffalo wing sauce, ranch dressing, and mozzarella, it’s slow-cooked to bubbly perfection and served warm with chips or veggies.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 16 ounces cream cheese (2 bricks)
  • 1/2 cup buffalo wing sauce (more to taste, less if you prefer milder)
  • 2/3 cup ranch dressing (can substitute bleu cheese dressing)
  • 1.5 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1.52 cups shredded chicken (rotisserie or canned)

Instructions

  1. Combine ingredients: In a slow cooker, add the cream cheese, shredded mozzarella cheese, buffalo wing sauce, ranch dressing, and shredded chicken. Stir everything together until well combined.
  2. Cook: Set the slow cooker to low heat and cook the mixture for 1 hour, or until the dip is hot and bubbly throughout.
  3. Optional broil: For a cheesy, golden top, sprinkle additional mozzarella cheese on the dip and broil in the oven for 2–3 minutes until melted and slightly browned, watching carefully to avoid burning.
  4. Serve warm: Turn the slow cooker to the warm setting to keep the dip hot while serving. Enjoy with tortilla chips, celery sticks, or your favorite vegetables.

Notes

  • You can adjust the amount of buffalo sauce based on preferred spice level.
  • Shredded chicken can be homemade, store-bought rotisserie, or canned for convenience.
  • Broiling cheese on top is optional but adds a nice touch of melted goodness.
  • This dip can be prepared ahead and kept warm in the slow cooker for parties.
  • Serve with chips or fresh cut vegetables for a crowd-pleasing appetizer.
