This Crockpot Big Mac Dip is a creamy, cheesy appetizer that captures the iconic flavors of a Big Mac burger in a warm, easy-to-make dip. With ground beef, cheddar and Velveeta cheeses, pickles, and a blend of classic condiments, this dip is perfect for parties, game days, or casual get-togethers. Slow cooked to melty perfection in a crockpot, it’s a crowd-pleaser that’s both comforting and nostalgic.

Ingredients

Meat and Cheese

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup Velveeta cheese, cubed

Seasonings and Condiments

  • 1/4 cup diced dill pickles
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 1 tbsp pickle juice
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Brown the Ground Beef: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef with salt, pepper, and garlic powder until fully browned. Make sure to break it up into small pieces as it cooks. Drain off any excess grease to keep the dip from becoming too oily.
  2. Combine Ingredients in Crockpot: Transfer the cooked ground beef to your crockpot. Add the shredded cheddar cheese, Velveeta cubes, diced dill pickles, mayonnaise, ketchup, yellow mustard, and pickle juice. Stir everything together until well combined.
  3. Slow Cook the Dip: Set your crockpot to the LOW setting and cook the mixture for 2 to 3 hours. Stir it occasionally during cooking to help the cheeses melt evenly and the flavors meld together nicely.
  4. Serve Warm: Once the dip is creamy and melted, switch the crockpot setting to WARM to keep it at a perfect serving temperature. Serve the dip directly from the crockpot, making it convenient for guests to help themselves.
  5. Optional Garnishes: For an extra touch, garnish the dip with sesame seeds, shredded lettuce, or more diced pickles before serving to mimic the iconic Big Mac toppings and add some texture.

Notes

  • Drain grease thoroughly after browning beef to prevent a greasy dip.
  • If Velveeta is unavailable, substitute with another creamy melting cheese like processed cheese slices or cream cheese.
  • Stir the dip occasionally during cooking to avoid cheese sticking to the crockpot bottom.
  • Serve with toasted baguette slices, tortilla chips, or crackers for dipping.
  • Can be kept warm up to 4 hours on crockpot WARM setting without drying out.
