A refreshing and tangy Cranberry Lemon Drop Martini that combines the tartness of fresh lemon juice with the sweetness of cranberry juice and a hint of triple sec. Perfectly rimmed with sugar for added sweetness, this delightful cocktail is quick to prepare and ideal for any occasion.

Ingredients

For the Martini

  • 1 ½ ounces vodka (or cranberry-flavored vodka)
  • 1 ounce fresh lemon juice
  • ½ ounce triple sec
  • ½ ounce simple syrup (or to taste)
  • 1 ½ ounces cranberry juice (100% unsweetened preferred)

For Garnish

  • 1 lemon wedge
  • 1 Tbsp granulated sugar (approximate)
  • Optional: lemon slice and cranberries

Instructions

  1. Rim Glass: Run the lemon wedge around the outside rim of a martini glass to moisten it, then dip the rim into a plate or shallow bowl of granulated sugar, turning the glass to coat evenly.
  2. Add to Shaker: Pour the vodka, fresh lemon juice, triple sec, simple syrup, and cranberry juice into a cocktail shaker. Add a couple of ice cubes to chill the mixture.
  3. Shake and Strain: Shake the cocktail vigorously for 20-30 seconds until well chilled and slightly frothy. Strain the mixture into the prepared martini glass.
  4. Garnish and Serve: Garnish with a slice of lemon and cranberries if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy your Cranberry Lemon Drop Martini.

Notes

  • You can substitute vodka with cranberry-flavored vodka for a more intense cranberry taste.
  • Adjust the amount of simple syrup according to your desired sweetness.
  • Using 100% unsweetened cranberry juice keeps the cocktail tart and refreshing without added sugars.
  • Ensure the martini glass is well chilled before serving for the best experience.
  • Optional garnish with fresh cranberries adds a festive touch.
