Cinnamon Roll French Toast Bites combine the gooey, spiced flavor of cinnamon rolls with the rich, custardy texture of French toast in bite-sized pieces, perfect for quick and delicious breakfast or brunch.

Ingredients

1 can refrigerated cinnamon rolls (with included icing or glaze)

2 large eggs

¼ cup milk

½ teaspoon vanilla extract

½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

Butter for greasing the skillet

Optional toppings: maple syrup, cream cheese glaze, powdered sugar, or whipped cream

Instructions

  1. Prep the rolls: Open the can of cinnamon rolls and separate each roll. Cut each into quarters or smaller bite-sized pieces.
  2. Make the egg mixture: In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon until well combined.
  3. Dip the bites: Gently toss the cinnamon roll pieces in the egg mixture until they’re evenly coated but not soggy.
  4. Cook in batches: Heat a skillet or nonstick pan over medium heat and add a small amount of butter. Once melted, add the soaked cinnamon roll pieces in a single layer. Cook for 2–3 minutes on each side, turning often, until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Plate and drizzle: Stack the warm French toast bites on a serving plate. Drizzle with the included icing, warm maple syrup, or cream cheese glaze.
  6. Serve immediately: Enjoy while warm, optionally topped with powdered sugar or a dollop of whipped cream for extra sweetness.

Notes

  • Use homemade cinnamon rolls if desired; ensure they are baked but slightly firm.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
  • Reheat in a toaster oven or air fryer for best crispiness; microwave for convenience.
  • For dairy-free option, substitute milk with almond or oat milk and ensure cinnamon rolls are dairy-free.
  • To prevent sogginess, avoid soaking bites too long in egg mixture.
  • Customize with toppings like nuts, fruits, or chocolate chips.
  • Recipe can be doubled or tripled for larger servings.
