Ingredients

1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough

2 cups cooked and shredded chicken

4 oz cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1/4 cup milk

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp onion powder

Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine shredded chicken, softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. Unroll crescent dough and separate into individual triangles.
  4. Place a spoonful of chicken mixture at the wide end of each triangle.
  5. Roll up each triangle from wide end to point, enclosing the filling.
  6. Place rolled crescents on prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Use rotisserie chicken for convenience and flavor.
  • Softened cream cheese blends better for smooth filling.
  • Substitute crescent dough with puff pastry or biscuit dough if desired.
  • Add jalapeños or cayenne pepper for a spicy kick.
  • Assemble in advance and refrigerate up to 8 hours before baking.
  • Store leftovers in airtight container in refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Freeze unbaked roll ups on a baking sheet until solid, then transfer to freezer bag; bake frozen at 350°F for 18-20 minutes.
  • Reheat in oven at 350°F for 5-7 minutes.
  • Serve with green salad, roasted vegetables, or dipping sauces like ranch or marinara.
  • Ensure filling is not too wet to prevent soggy dough.
