Cheesy Taco Sticks combine seasoned ground beef and melted cheese wrapped in soft pizza dough, brushed with garlic butter for a delicious handheld treat perfect for snacks, dinners, or game nights.

Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1 packet taco seasoning mix (or homemade)

1 tube refrigerated pizza dough

5 Colby Jack cheese sticks, halved

4 tbsp butter, melted

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp dried parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Lightly grease a large baking sheet with non-stick spray.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain excess fat. Stir in the taco seasoning (without adding water) and cook for 1-2 more minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.
  3. Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface and cut into 10 equal rectangles.
  4. Place a spoonful of cooled taco meat in the center of each rectangle. Top with half a cheese stick. Roll up each rectangle, sealing the edges to enclose the filling.
  5. Mix melted butter, garlic powder, and dried parsley. Brush this garlic butter over each taco stick.
  6. Arrange taco sticks on the baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown and cheese is melted.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy with salsa, sour cream, or guacamole.

Notes

  • Add diced jalapeños for spice or vegetables like onions and bell peppers for extra flavor.
  • Use leftover taco meat for convenience.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container refrigerated up to 3 days.
  • Reheat in a 350°F oven for 5-7 minutes to maintain crispiness.
  • Can substitute ground turkey or vegetarian alternatives.
  • Freezing is possible; bake from frozen adding a few extra minutes.
