This Cheesy Garbage Bread Delight is a delicious and versatile dish that combines savory meats, gooey cheese, and crispy pizza dough. Stuffed with ground beef, pepperoni, mozzarella, and cheddar, it’s a perfect comfort food for any occasion.

Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

1/2 cup pizza or marinara sauce

1/2 cup chopped pepperoni

1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 tube refrigerated pizza dough (or homemade)

1 tbsp melted butter

1/2 tsp Italian seasoning (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir occasionally and cook until the meat is browned. Drain any excess grease and set aside.
  3. Roll out your pizza dough into a large rectangle on a floured surface or directly on parchment paper.
  4. Spread the pizza or marinara sauce over the dough, leaving about a 1-inch border around the edges to help seal the bread later.
  5. Evenly distribute the cooked beef, chopped pepperoni, mozzarella, and cheddar cheeses across the sauced dough.
  6. Carefully roll the dough from the long edge into a tight log. Pinch the seam and both ends to seal in all the fillings.
  7. Transfer the rolled dough to the prepared baking sheet, seam-side down. Brush the surface with melted butter and sprinkle Italian seasoning on top if desired.
  8. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly inside.
  9. Let it cool for 5 minutes before slicing into portions. Serve warm with extra sauce for dipping.

Notes

  • For a spicy version, add sliced jalapeños or red pepper flakes to the filling.
  • Veggie options like sautéed mushrooms, bell peppers, or olives can be added for a more vegetable-forward twist.
  • Swap the ground beef with Italian sausage, ground turkey, or diced chicken for a different meat option.
  • Use other cheeses such as provolone, Monterey Jack, or gouda for variety in flavor.
