Ingredients

1 bag frozen French fries or 4 large potatoes, cut into fries

1/2 lb ground beef

1 tsp paprika

1/2 tsp garlic powder

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup sour cream

1/4 cup diced red onion

1/4 cup chopped tomatoes

2 tbsp chopped parsley or green onions

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Spread the French fries on a baking sheet and bake for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway through until golden and crispy.
  3. While fries are baking, heat a skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned and crumbled.
  4. Stir in paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Drain any excess fat.
  5. Transfer the cooked fries to an oven-safe dish. Sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese and top with the seasoned beef.
  6. Return the dish to the oven for about 5 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted.
  7. Drizzle sour cream over the top. Garnish with diced red onion, chopped tomatoes, and fresh parsley or green onions.
  8. Serve immediately while hot and cheesy.

Notes

  • Use homemade fries or wedges for a more rustic touch.
  • Prep beef and toppings ahead to save time.
  • For extra crispiness, broil fries for 1–2 minutes after baking.
  • Swap beef for ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option.
  • Dairy-free cheese and sour cream work as alternatives.
