Soft, fluffy, and cheesy, these Buttery Cheese Garlic Rolls are irresistible and perfect for any occasion. Loaded with melty mozzarella and garlic butter, they are a must-try for bread lovers.

Ingredients

Garlic Butter:

  • 1 garlic head
  • Sprinkle of salt
  • 30 grams olive oil
  • 50 grams butter
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley

Dough:

  • 90 grams warm milk
  • 7 grams active dry yeast
  • 25 grams honey
  • 200 grams all-purpose flour
  • 50 grams bread flour
  • 20 grams milk powder (optional)
  • 25 grams butter
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar

Filling:

  • 200 grams mozzarella cheese
  • Garlic butter (previously made)

Egg Wash:

  • 1 egg

Instructions

  1. Roast Garlic: Cut the top off a garlic head, drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle with salt, cover with foil, and roast at 160°C (320°F) for 2 hours.
  2. Garlic Butter: Mix roasted garlic with softened butter, parsley, and garlic oil. Set aside.
  3. Yeast Mixture: Combine warm milk, yeast, and honey. Let it proof for 10 minutes.
  4. Dough: Mix flours, sugar, milk powder, butter, egg yolks, salt, and yeast mixture. Knead for 15-20 mins.
  5. Proof Dough: Let it rise for 1.5 hours until doubled.
  6. Roll Out Dough: Spread garlic butter on dough, add mozzarella, roll into a log.
  7. Cut Dough: Divide into 6 portions.
  8. Second Proof: Proof rolls for 30 mins.
  9. Bake: Brush with egg wash, bake at 175°C (350°F) for 20-25 mins.
  10. Decorate: Brush with garlic butter and parsley before serving.
