Instructions

  1. Get prepped: Spray a 12-cup muffin tin with nonstick spray to ensure the nests won’t stick. Measure out all ingredients and have your Cadbury mini eggs ready for assembly.
  2. Melt the base: In a medium microwave-safe bowl, combine 1 cup of butterscotch chips and 1/2 cup of peanut butter. Microwave in 15 to 20 second intervals, stirring between each session until the mixture is smooth and fully melted.
  3. Mix in the cereal: Gently fold in 2 1/2 cups of corn flakes cereal using a rubber spatula, ensuring that all the cereal pieces are evenly coated with the melted butterscotch and peanut butter mixture.
  4. Shape the nests: Spoon a heaping amount of the coated cereal mixture into each muffin cup. Press down lightly in the center of each portion to create a nest shape that can hold the mini eggs.
  5. Cool and set: Allow the nests to cool at room temperature for about 10 to 15 minutes until they are firm and set enough to hold their shape.
  6. Add the eggs: Using a butter knife, gently lift each nest out of the muffin tin. Place 2 to 3 Cadbury mini eggs in the center of each nest to complete the look and add a burst of chocolatey sweetness.
