Enjoy these delicious air fryer apple fritters that are healthier than deep-fried versions, quick to make, and perfect for any time of year. The crispy outside and tender, apple-filled inside make them a delightful treat.
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon to create the dry mixture. In a separate small bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, vanilla essence, and lemon juice to form the wet mixture.
Create a well in the center of the dry ingredients, pour in the wet ingredients, add the melted butter, and stir until well combined. Gently fold in the chopped apples.
If needed, preheat the air fryer to 375°F. Line the basket with parchment paper and spray with nonstick spray.
Scoop portions of batter onto the parchment paper in the air fryer and cook at 375°F for 8 minutes, then flip and cook for an additional 3 minutes. Cool on a wire rack.
Whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla essence until smooth. Add melted butter and whisk to complete the glaze.
Dip the fritters in the glaze, place on a wire rack to set, and serve while fresh.
