Bang Bang Salmon is a quick and flavorful dish featuring tender salmon bites coated in a creamy, sweet, and spicy sauce. Perfect for weeknight dinners or impressing guests.

Ingredients

pounds salmon fillets (skin removed, cut into bite-sized pieces)

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

½ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)

½ cup mayonnaise

¼ cup Thai sweet chili sauce

1 tablespoon sriracha sauce (adjust to taste)

1 tablespoon honey

1 tablespoon lime juice

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, Thai sweet chili sauce, sriracha, honey, and lime juice until smooth. Set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, combine salmon pieces with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Toss until evenly coated.
  3. Choose a cooking method:
    • Air Fryer: Preheat to 400°F (200°C). Place salmon in a single layer and air fry for 8–10 minutes, shaking halfway through.
    • Oven: Preheat to 400°F (200°C). Place salmon on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 12–15 minutes, turning halfway.
    • Pan-Sear: Heat a non-stick pan over medium-high. Cook salmon for 6–8 minutes, turning to brown each side.
  4. Drizzle Bang Bang sauce over the cooked salmon or serve on the side. Garnish with green onions or sesame seeds if desired.

Notes

  • Adjust sriracha to control spiciness.
  • Can substitute salmon with shrimp, chicken, or tofu.
  • Use Greek yogurt for a lighter sauce alternative.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat gently to maintain texture.
